Biography Michaël Boseret

Since October 2018, Michaël Boseret is the Belgian Director’s Junior Advisor at the Inter-American Development Bank for the Constituency composed of Belgium, China, Germany, Israel, Italy, the Netherlands and Switzerland and for the Constituency composed of Austria, Belgium, China, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands at the Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC/IDB Invest).

In October 2018, Michaël Boseret joined the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) as Junior Advisor and held simultaneously, until June 2019, the position of Alternate Executive Director for Austria, Belgium, China, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands at the Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC), rebranded as IDB Invest since November 2017.

Prior to joining the IDB, Michaël worked for 3 years at the Administration of the Treasury of the Ministry of Finance, where he ensured representation of the Ministry and Belgium in several Committees dealing with financial, budgetary and economic matters at European and international levels. During this period, Michaël was additionally the Desk Officer for Belgium at the European Stability Mechanism.

Michaël Boseret gained experience in international economic and financial matters through various positions in the public and private sectors.

Before a traineeship at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Michaël supported the Trade and Economic Department of the EU Delegation to Colombia in the implementation of the Trade Agreement between the EU and Colombia. He also worked for a consulting company (DevStat) in Spain on the preparation and implementation of international projects in the fields of Statistics and Business and Policy Intelligence.

Michaël Boseret holds a Bachelor and Master’s in Economics from the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management (Université Libre de Bruxelles) as well as an Advanced Master’s in European Studies and an Advanced Master’s in Financial Risk Management from Saint-Louis University in Brussels, Belgium. Michaël is fluent in French, English and Spanish and has good command of Dutch.
