The digital Information Sheets (INF) system (INF SP system) could not start on 1 June 2020

Date:

Belgium, like other Member States as Finland or The Netherlands, has not been able to implement the SP-INF system on the first of June. This means that the Belgian companies will still use paper INF documents after 01-06-2020. These paper INF will be dealt with in the usual way. This will mean that in the case of IP EX/IM started in Belgium with prior exportation (EX) of processed products obtained from equivalent goods, the paper INF 5 will still be used to prove the right for the goods to be placed under the procedure (IM). Like the Netherlands and Finland we are also aiming on the early days of autumn to start using the e-INF-system for transactions that start in Belgium .

We are currently working to try to be able to process electronic INF which have been started in other Member states. Hopefully, we will be able to do this within a few weeks and we will inform you as soon as this is possible. Until that time however, we will not be able to process the electronic INF.  Once again using the example above, this means no exit will be confirmed in the INF system nor will an import right for placing non-union goods under IP after a prior exportation under IP EX/IM from another MS be checked from the INF system.

We are really sorry for the inconvenience this may cause you, but the schedule of the INF project and the current situation under COVID-19 made it also for Belgium impossible to meet the deadline of 01-06-2020.
