Package of sanctions

On February 23rd 2022, in response to the recognition of the non-government controlled areas of the Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts of Ukraine and the ordering of Russian armed forces into those areas, the European Union has extended the scope of sanctions against Russia. The EU has massively extended the sanctions after February 24th 2022, in response to the military aggression of Russia in Ukraine. A great number of persons and entities has been added to the list of sanctions and unprecedented measures have been adopted to considerably weaken the Russian economic base, deprive it of essential technologies and markets, and considerably reduce its capacity to wage war.
